Our Story: From Roots to Refreshment
Founded on the profound wisdom of Ayurveda, Hominister’s journey began in 1944 with the birth of our visionary founder, Kakkatummal Armatti Vaidyar, in Malabar District, which was part of the Madras Presidency of British India. An expert in traditional medicine, he established the Armatti Vaidyar Ayurvedic Pharmacy in 1968 to pioneer research into natural wellness.
This pursuit of health led to a breakthrough in 1982—the creation of therapeutic beverages. By 1986, our operations found their new home in the serene landscapes of Kallumpuram.
Following the passing of our founder in 2003, his grandson, Mishal Vattakandathil, took the helm, ensuring that every bottle continues to carry the purity and excellence of our ancestral roots into the modern era.
